Lumian ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal and business data. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you interact with our website, services, and AI tools designed for Amazon sellers.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account Information: Name, email, company name, billing details.
Business Data: Amazon seller data, product information, listings, campaign metrics, and performance insights that you provide or authorize us to access.
Technical Data: Device type, IP address, browser information, and cookies when you interact with our website.
Communications: Emails, chat messages, and support requests.
2. How We Use Information
We process your information to:
- Deliver and improve our AI-enabled seller optimization services.
- Personalize recommendations and reporting for Amazon sellers.

3. Sharing Information
We share your data only in limited and strictly controlled circumstances:
Service Providers: Hosting providers, analytics platforms, payment processors, and large language model (LLM) providers (currently OpenAI and Google) engaged solely to deliver Lumian's services. These providers are contractually obligated to maintain security standards at least as strict as ours.
Amazon Information: Amazon seller data and related business metrics are never shared with outside parties except as required to perform authorized user activities under the Amazon Services API Developer Agreement. We do not aggregate, sell, or disclose Amazon Information across different Authorized Users or to third parties.
Legal Obligations: When required by law, regulation, or government requests.
Business Transfers: In case of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to compliance with Amazon's Acceptable Use Policy and Data Protection Policy.
Lumian does not sell personal or Amazon-related information to third parties.
4. Data Security
We use encryption, access controls, and security monitoring to protect all information. Access to Amazon Information is granted only on a need-to-know basis within Lumian. No Amazon Information is disclosed to external parties unless required for authorized functionality under Amazon's policies.
5. Data Retention
Your personal and business data is retained in accordance with Lumian's Data Retention Policy (see below).

Lumian Data Retention Policy (Amazon-Compliant)

This Data Retention Policy explains how Lumian retains, manages, and deletes client and business data, including Amazon Information, in compliance with Amazon's Acceptable Use Policy and applicable privacy regulations.
1. Purpose
To ensure compliance with legal, tax, and privacy obligations while supporting Amazon's Acceptable Use Policy and protecting client interests.
2. Data Categories & Retention Periods
Client Account Data (name, email, billing): Retained for the duration of services plus one (1) year.
Amazon Seller Data & Performance Metrics: Retained for twenty-four (24) months, then anonymized or securely deleted. No data is disclosed outside Lumian except to service providers strictly necessary for delivering services.
Financial & Transaction Records: Retained for seven (7) years for tax and compliance purposes.
Support Logs & Communications: Retained for eighteen (18) months.
Website Analytics Data: Retained for up to twelve (12) months.
3. Secure Storage & Disposal
- Data is encrypted during both storage and transmission.
- Access to Amazon Information is restricted to authorized Lumian staff with a need-to-know basis.
- When data reaches the end of its retention period, it is permanently deleted or anonymized.
- Disposal is logged to ensure accountability and traceability.
4. Exceptions
If data is required for ongoing legal matters, disputes, or regulatory compliance, retention may be extended until resolution.
5. Data Sharing Disclosure
Lumian shares Amazon Information only with the following outside parties and only as required to perform authorized user activities:
Hosting Providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure): To securely store and process data.
Analytics & Monitoring Services: To maintain system performance and detect fraud or security issues.
LLM/AI Infrastructure Providers (OpenAI and Anthropic): Used solely to generate insights for the Authorized User's own account. Amazon Information is never aggregated across users, disclosed, or repurposed for model training.
Payment Processors: For billing and financial transactions (no Amazon Information is shared).
All external parties must implement data security standards at least as strict as Lumian's. No Amazon Information is shared across different sellers, aggregated, sold, or disclosed for marketing purposes.
6. Policy Review
This policy is reviewed annually and updated to reflect new business practices, legal requirements, Amazon policy changes, and client expectations.
